Sharon and Derek work closely with our regulators who have a vet’s office on site to maintain our EEC licence number 2428 and also work closely with our internal auditor to maintain our Grade A BRC and Quality Assurance Accreditations and constantly test our own Quality Management and H.A.C.C.P systems.

Heaney Meats Catering Company achieved Grade A EFSIS standard. This stands for European Food Safety Inspection Standard and is regarded as the benchmark standard for best practice in food safety.

For Heaney Meats to achieve this standard shows the company’s commitment and dedication to food safety.

As to date no other meat catering company has achieved this level of certification.

Heaney meats purpose built factory operates under the supervision of their own quality assurance manager and under the guidance of food safety of Ireland Veterinary Officers.


Heaney meats maintain a close working relationship
with their accredited laboratory Complete
Laboratory Solutions
who been involved with Heaney meats since 2004. As part of their routine  monitoring programme they contract Complete Laboratory Solutions to conduct swab sampling of  their premises, the testing of these swabs, water
and meat samples are completed at their state of the art facilities using highly trained staff using the most current up to date sampling methods.
